Who We Are
Winter Settlements is a settlement agency based in the Perth Hills, founded and run by Sam Winter, a licensed settlement agent with more than 20 years of experience in the WA property industry.
We’re a family business, which means we care deeply about reputation. Every client we look after is a direct reflection of who we are and how we work. That’s not something we take lightly.
Sam Winter: Principal Settlement Agent
Sam has been practising settlements since 2003 and became licensed in 2010. In that time, he’s worked across major Australian banks, innovative legal firms and independent settlement agencies, giving him a perspective most agents simply don’t have.
He’s seen the full picture: the finance side, the legal side, the title side. That breadth of experience means he can cut through jargon quickly, spot problems before they become delays, and explain even the most complex situations in a way that makes sense.
Sam is known for being calm under pressure, which is exactly what you want when a settlement hits a snag.
Michelle Schorer, Conveyancer
Michelle began her career in the Real Estate industry in 2009, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of roles before discovering her passion for conveyancing. In 2013, she joined a small firm as a Conveyancing Assistant, where her strong communication skills, attention to detail, and approachable nature quickly helped her excel in the industry.
By 2015, Michelle had progressed to independently managing her own conveyancing files, building a reputation for providing reliable support and exceptional client service throughout every stage of the settlement process.
In 2026, Michelle joined the Winter Settlements team and is currently furthering her professional qualifications by studying towards her Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing.
Michelle is highly regarded by her clients for her friendly approach, clear communication, and genuine enthusiasm for guiding people through what can often be a complex process.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, caring for her two children and farm pets, and following her favourite sporting teams — from her local Chidlow Cougars Football Club to the West Coast Eagles.
